Good results from industrial application test of PHR residual oil hydrogenation catalyst

PHR series residual oil hydrogenation catalysts showed excellent performance in hydrogen desulfurization, denitrification, demetalization, carbon residue removal and bed pressure drop.

厂区夜景 (2013-9-13)The design and preparation methods were developed for catalyst configuration by shape, pore structure and activity. Breakthroughs were made in the theory for “customized” catalyst pore structure characteristics and activity distribution characteristics, in the preparation technologies such as the double peak pore structure alumina catalyst carrier, and in the application of independently developed catalyst grading scheme for long period stable operation. Industrial test at Dalian West Pacific Petro-Chemical Co.,Ltd. showed that the amount of sulfur, nitrogen and carbon residue removed by PHR catalysts were respectively 2.8%, 24.7% and 6.2% higher than imported catalysts under the same operating conditions. During the operation, the total pressure drop was 0.2-0.4MPa lower than that of the imported catalysts.

The successful application of PHR residual oil hydrogenation catalysts provided strong technical support for processing high-sulfur crude oil of the company.
