Effective gasoline quality upgrading from technical packages for National V standard gasoline production

Nine grades of catalysts including catalytic gasoline selective hydrogen desulfurization, and five key technologies such as staged hydrogen desulfurization and oriented olefin conversion were developed. Two series of technologies including the selective hydrogen desulfurization (DSO) and hydrogen desulfurization-modification (M-DSO, GARDES) were developed addressing the bottleneck of synchronous deep desulfurization, olefin reduction and octane value keeping in the process of FCC for gasoline.

The new technologies for catalyst loading and startup sulfurization and passivation improved the catalyst’s desulfurization activity and selectivity, reduced the octane value loss, prolonged the operation cycle of the facilities, and shortened the startup time.

By the end of 2016, more than 10 CNPC subsidiaries using these proprietary technologies produced over 10 million tons National V standard gasoline of international standards.
